Pipeline and Facility Operator

Job Description

The Pipeline and Facility Operator will perform duties including but not limited to:

  • Routine pigging of gas and oil pipelines
  • Works with control room operators to manage tank levels, field pressures, and flow rates
  • Understands typical reciprocating compressor and centrifugal pump operations
  • Monitors, maintains, and operates tank levels and pumps to balance oil pipeline gathering and delivery requirements
  • Transfers crude oil or produced water between tanks
  • Assists with all aspects of compressor and crude oil pump station operations
  • Assists with month-end meter readings
  • Follows written procedures as they relate to Company’s safety policies
  • Promotes a safe and productive environment among employees

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Candidate has a minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Additional work experience may qualify as a substitute.
  • Has a minimum of 1 year of related experience
  • Has experience and good working knowledge of reciprocating compressors, pumps, tank gauging, and liquid/gas measurement
  • Has experience working with DOT regulated pipelines and facilities

Although not a job requirement, the ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Preferred experience with instrumentation and low voltage electrical
  • Preferred experience with SCADA systems
  • Preferred working knowledge of AGA requirements related to gas measurement
  • Preferred working knowledge of API regulations on crude oil measurement
